Online Shopping Part II

Woohoo!

Went shopping again :)
Yah lah, online shopping.
Auntie's getting lazy, and since there's unlimited things to buy from the internet, why not? Cheap & convenient, and delivered to the doorstep!

This time something more casual, suitable for the summer.
Yay! Summer's here!

Chio?

By the way, the grey pleated skirt which I bought earlier is out of stock :(
So I changed it to this blackie top. Not as nice, but even cheaper! Just about S$17.
Delivered this evening, tried on, and yes, fits well!

bEfore N aFter ...

===== Before the marriage =====

He: Yes. At last. It was so hard to wait.
She: Do you want me to leave?
He: NO! Don't even think about it.
She: Do you love me?
He: Of course!
She: Have you ever cheated on me?
He: NO! Why are you even asking?
She: Will you kiss me?
He: Yes!
She: Will you hit me?
He: No way! I'm not such kind of person!
She: Can I trust you?

== Now after the marriage, you can read it from bottom to top ==

bImbo tAlks abOut hAir

Had a hair cut about a month ago.. v short now! All inspired by hEbe's hairstyle, though the outcome isn't quite the same. Planning to have another cut before returning home next month, and I want to cut like hers, can?!!

Oh, btw, there's a new stylish hair salon opening across the street! Strolled past the other night, got attracted by the renovation - contemporary style, and walked in to enquire (erhm, and see see look look). Wa sey, daylight robbery in such residential area - 950NT for a hair cut, 1800NT for hair color...

Going to try it next next weekend despite the jaw drop pricing. :P Don't mind being the guinea pig, and see how good they are for the price they charge. Hmm... what color leh?

Where is our Wealth Position?

We've got a water feature yesterday from Ying Ge; it has the relaxing sound of a babbling water flow, 3 tiers, and a mist maker which I treat it as a humidifier (Taiwan's humidity level is ~20% lower than Singapore's, I need a humidifier anyway). The water feature is said to include the five elements needed for perfect balance in Feng Shui.

I read that excessive amounts of positive ions in the environment, created by pollution and other factors, can cause sickness and depression. On the other hand, flowing water increases negative ions in the air, and thus, water features can help by balancing the -ve and +ve ions in the air, thereby creating a harmonious energy of ch'i - highly beneficial for health, wealth, relationships, and general well-being.

OK, we are trying to find the 'golden' location to place the water feature. After some research on the internet - General Guidelines on Location for Placing Water Feature -:
  • North Sector: Career or Business Success; Increase of Income
  • Southeast Sector: Overall Wealth, Prosperity and Abundance
  • East Sector: Family Harmony and Health
Gum lah... the one and only spot suitable for placing the water feature at our rented place, happens to be at the 'North Sector'. Though personally preferred to be in Southeast.. I guess the north sector's benefits serve equally well. By the way, it's also said that some spirit rules mustn't be violated, else it will bring more harm and misfortunes than benefits...

Jia-lat... who can help?

Online Shopping

Shopping is so fun... online shopping, I mean...
For the past year in TW, have been doing internet shopping more than I do real shopping.

Latest harvests - Guess how much I got the two items for?
Aiyo! For the white pong pong dress & the grey pleated skirt, less than S$50!! YES it is! Material is decent (for the dress lah... I haven't seen the skirt yet), and size is fitting just nice. Woo-hoo! At such price, I would say it's a steal man!

*Cheap Thrill*

ps-1: Shopping for 'bo brand' stuff OK lah.. definitely a no-no for buying branded goods. High risk of fake goods! Must be a bit kia-si ...

ps-2: Singapore is having GSS (Great Singapore Sale) now.. Shxx! .... It's OK, I'll do my own GSS (Great Siow Shopping) here... :P

5-Why Analysis

5-why analysis is an analysis technique adopted to move past symptoms and undertand the true root cause of a problem. It is said that only by asking "Why?" five times, successively, can you delve into a problem deeply enough to understand the ultimate root cause. By the time you get to the 4th or 5th why, you will likely be looking squarely at management practices. This methodology is closely related to the Cause & Effect (Fishbone) diagram, and can be used to complement the analysis necessary to complete a Cause & Effect diagram.

An example of an analysis - addressing the audit finding -
~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.
Finding: Manufacturing data captured by the MES system is not accurate. xxx *rest is censored*

Why #1:
Why is MES system data not accurate?
Ans: Data was not entered accurately by the production operators.
Why #2:
Why was data not entered accurately by the operators?
Ans: Operators did not obey the rules.
Why #3:
Why the operators did not obey rules?
Ans: Operators did not understand the rules.
Why #4:
Why the operators did not understand the rules?
Ans: Rules for the MES system were not properly established?
Why #5:
Why the MES rules were not properly established?
Ans: Engineer who qualified the MES system did not write the proper rules.

So, after asking 5 whys, root cause is found and here comes the suggested corrective action -

-> Corrective action: To write the proper rules for MES system in the operators' work instruction.
~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.

I tried this systematic approach analysis on myself, my 人生.

Why #1:
Why am I so sian?
Ans: I don't like to work.
Why #2:
Why don't I like to work?
Ans: Because it doesn't interest me.
Why #3:
Why doesn't it interest me?
Ans: Because nothing interest me.
Why #4:
Why?
Ans: Something is wrong with me. It's my problem.
Why #5:
Why?
Ans: I need to find something that I want to do...

Hence, the root cause is - the problem lies with me lah!

Does it work this way?

A little thot goes a long way...

When was the last time you did a generous act? Thinking hard?
Nah, give you a chance.. just a few clicks away.. log on to internet banking and do a 'bill payment' for an online donation, you'd find some organizations such as the community chest or the club rainbow to donate to.
I just did mine.

You may also visit some of the more popular sites to see what & how you could help - Salvation army, community chest, world vision, club rainbow, and the list goes on...

Old Memories

Digged out some old photos...
Was in Maine, New England, US, for 3 months stretching from Sep to Dec 2004. Wonderful memories, and till now, I've been looking back at the old photos, time to time.

- Autumn 2004 in the States -
Cool weather + Blue skies = Shiok + Chio
Residence in by Marriott, the hotel that I stayed.

- Winter 2004 in the States -
Equally chio!

See the botak tree...

Night scenery, with warm lightings, good photography skill hor?

It's not that I don't want to update... my life is simply too plain these days..
Other than ah pang's visit this week (currently happily in kaohsiung with, erghmm... 'friend'), and lotsa good food by suppliers, there's nothing much more exciting than my portfolio's movements!

Okay, another entertainment that I've been following closely is this! In mandarin, it's 超級星光大道, sama the super idol in Taiwan, and it's super funniie & hilarious! Anyway, if you've not been following, and if you're interested, just go search any Taiwan websites and you be amazed how the show have seeped through each & every household in the island. News channels have been reporting, and I'm not surprised if the gou zai dui is also chasing after them. This is not the first super idol show here, but it's the first version that has been so popular here.. Something we have to learn from the production crew.

Here's a short video clip of the 全民大悶鍋, impersonating...

Mozilla Firefox

Are you still using IE - Internet Explorer?

There's a new age term I come across in Taiwan :: 外貌協會 ::
This is to describe someone who is very conscious of his or her appearance, including things & people around him. They have acute sense of awareness to beauty and take steps to improve their looks. They also like things that are pretty, and prefer to use pretty things...

I think I belong to this club.

I like to use pretty things, including my internet browser.
I've long switched to Mozilla Firefox - besides the tab browsing feature,
the themes mozilla have are lovely.. lovely.. and.. lovely lah..

See this one in green, matches my siowzarbor blog page -

See this one in pink, isn't it sweet -

See this one in lilac, so peaceful looking -

Like it? Go get your Mozilla Firefox here.
Like the themes? Get them here.

My first and last... wArRant

Equity Derivatives Societe Generale explained that there are 5 major factors influencing the movement of a warrant, namely - Underlying price, Days to maturity, Implied volatility, Interest rate, Dividend.

I *pui* ah...

Today, 5th June, STI Put Warrant 3450 STIsgaEPW070830, expiring 30th Aug, fell 7% when the STI closed 6 pts lower at 3572.9 pts! The put warrant is in the same direction as the underlying instrument! HOW CAN!!!? OK, I know this drop (the underlying instrument) is merely less than 0.2%, so it still depends on other factors like the IV and interest rate... The decay factor is too huge, and also decayed over the weekends! ANyway, I got so discouraged over these weeks, and finally dumped it at a great loss... *sob sob sob sob sob*. Bled & shed... ba bai and please continue to ls as you did....

For those who still want to gamble, or hedge your portfolio (which I still don't believe it works this way - it's not transparent how the BB played with the MM, and we as individuals could never beat the MM), check it out here. I liked the calculator though...

My heart is not as strong as before.
